Get involved with Green Impact

Current circumstances make it challenging to achieve some of the goals on the Green Impact workbook. Still, many of the teams adjusted by developing projects, investing time in learning and teaching each other and initiating online activities for their wider team.

If you struggle with your Green Impact work during the lockdown, please contact us. We will be happy to help where we can.

Remember these rules of thumb:

  • There is so much you can achieve this year. Don’t add stress to yourself or the team by setting goals that are too ambitious
  • Stay connected with your Green Impact team. Set up meetings, discuss plans, do some joint learning, initiate fun activities and in general, use this group to support each other.
  • It is an excellent time to establish relationships with your communications and procurement teams, or to recruit colleagues to Green Impact
  • Ensure your team and other colleagues in your department know about how to be environmentally sustainable at home. You are welcome to use our Green Impact from Home guide, or any other resources.

A quick survey

In order to understand the type of work Green Impact teams are doing these days, and adjust the support we offer, we ask you to kindly take two minutes and answer this short survey. Please also forward it to other members of your Green Impact team.

Surgery hours

We are offering Green Impact teams the chance to set up an online meeting with the Environmental Sustainability team. We can talk about your plans, guide you through the workbooks, share ideas about activities you can do while working from home, and help with any other topics you wish to discuss. To register, email us at sustainability@admin.ox.ac.uk.
