Oxford ranked in second place in UI Green Metric international league sustainability league table
The University of Oxford has recently been ranked in second place in the annual UI Green Metric World University Ranking, which assesses hundreds of higher education institutions worldwide for their environmental sustainability
This is the same as its 2019 position. The league table, produced by Universitas Indonesia, takes into account numerous aspects of sustainability, including infrastructure, efforts to reduce energy usage and carbon emissions, transportation and progress in using less water and producing less waste. Positions are decided objectively on the basis of data provided by the institutions in question.
