Safe cycling training to help you return to on-site working

Many will prefer to avoid public transport for the moment and will be considering starting to get to and from work on a bike. If you are in this position, we can help make sure you feel safe while cycling.

We are working alongside the Broken Spoke Bike Co-op to offer six hours of free individual safety training for all staff and students. Broken Spokes training is accredited to the national Bikeability cycle proficiency standard. You can sign up online.

If you prefer, shorter training sessions are planned that will focus on your commuting route and can be done alongside colleagues. We are working with Broken Spoke to deliver this ‘Cycle bus programme’, which will take place during the weeks beginning 21 and 28 September.

Guided cycle groups will leave from one of the eight park and pedal spots throughout Oxford in the morning, riding as a small group and guiding you on the best and safest route to work. All appropriate Covid safety measures will be followed.

A detailed schedule will be published during September, but if you are interested please let the team know by filling out this form; this information will then be shared with Broken Spoke and used to plan the programme.
